SEE YOU IN 2016!!!

What is the Tara Dawn Run

Started in 2007 by local lads James Gibbons and Shay Sheridan, the Tara Dawn Run is an annual event held in or around the Summer Solstice on the historic Hill of Tara, Co Meath. The difference with this 4km fun run is the starting siren goes off at 4am ............ in the pitch dark!

By the time the first runners cross the finish line the sun is rising and bathing the Hill in a warm golden glow. It's an amazing feeling and one that needs to be experienced. All ages participate in this fun family event with kids, parents and grandparents all joining together for this unique fun run.

On finishing, everyone is a winner, as each participant gets a legendary Tara Dawn Run Sausage Sambo cooked on our massive BBQs! Live music entertains the crowd and to top off that feeling of well being all proceeds are in aid of the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Childrens’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Nothing like it anywhere else!

Whats the Tara Dawn Run in Aid of?

Runners and walkers of all abilities and levels of fitness participate in the fun event over a 4km cross country circuit of Tara. What makes the event unique is that the action commences at 4:00am, this adding to the sense of achievement for all present.

When the exercise is out of the way everyone can relax over a cup of tea and a dawn BBQ.
